I read Staged to Sell (or Keep): Easy Ways to Improve the Value of Your Home because I am an interior designer looking to expand my business into staging. As such, I was impressed with the good tips throughout the book on improving the look of your home.
This is a beautifully designed book, sure to inspire you to make important changes in the way your home look.
That said, the book is mostly about decorating and needs more practical information on what buyers want in today’s economy. I just read SELL YOUR HOME FAST IN A BUYER’S MARKET and it covers that and more(including the newest green tips!) . Buy both and your home will be sold in no time!

I was disappointed with this book. I also bought “The Complete Idiot’s Guide to Staging Your Home To Sell” and it was much more about staging for sale. It had many ideas about what buyers are looking for, and what your decorating goals should be. This book seems much more like a basic decorating book than a staging book. I’ll keep the “Idiot’s Guide” and get rid of this one.
